Forte, Rio Help Kia Canada To Set Sales Record In 2012

Kia Canada Inc. set yet another sales record, chalking up 77,800 units sold during 2012, the best in the company’s 13-years in Canada.

The month of December was a particular high point, with Kia achieving its 48th consecutive month of sales growth, moving 3,960 units for the month.

That number was a solid 15.8% increase over the same period in 2011. The total units sold during 2012 were 19.5% more than in the previous sales year.

Maria Soklis, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO), Kia Canada Inc, said that the sales figures highlighted an incredibly successful year for the company. She also said that 2013 promises to deliver more of the same, with a number of all-new and redesigned vehicles expected to hit the market in the next 12 months.

Kia Canada hit another landmark in 2012, with four vehicles achieving sales in excess of 10,000 units each: the Forte family compact, Sorento Compact Utility Vehicle (CUV), Rio sub-compact and Optima mid-size sedan.
