Kia Motors UK announced it plans to commence the sales of the new cee’d 5-door hatchback on June 1st!
The all-new Kia cee’d 5-door will be priced from £14,395 when it goes on sale in June, announced Kia UK.
The new Kia cee’d will be available in four trim levels (dubbed “1”, “2”, “3” and “4”) and comes in wide range of fuel efficient four-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines.
The engine range includes four 1.4L and 1.6L diesel and gasoline engines from Kia’s U2 and Gamma engine families. The base 1,4L gasoline engine generates 98 bhp and 137 Nm of torque, while the more potent 1,6L GDI packs 133bhp and 164Nm of torque.
Diesel power comes from Kia’s 1,4L and 1,6L CRDI engines with power output ranging from 89 bhp to 126 bhp.
The base 1,4L CRDI engine emits 109 grams of CO2 per kilometer and achieves 69 mpg, while the more powerful 1,6L CRDI variant emits only 97 grams of CO2 per kilometer and achieves a combined fuel economy of 76mpg.
Standard equipment across the Kia cee’d model range includes 6-airbags, ABS, ESP and VSM, hill-start assist control -HAC, speed-sensitive auto door locking, tilt and telescopic steering wheel adjustment, heated door mirrors, height-adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning, front electric windows,, steering wheel-mounted controls, projection headlights, daytime running lights, remote central locking, cooled glovebox and others.
Cee’d “2” models add cornering lights, LED daytime running lights and rear combination lamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, electrically folding and heated door mirrors, leather trim on the steering wheel, gearshifter and handbrake, all-round electric windows, cruise control with speed limiter, reversing sensors and the Flex Steer function.
Kia cee’d “3” offers automatic headlights, rain-sensing front wipers with de-icing elements, dual-zone automatic air conditioning and seven-inch touchscreen satellite navigation, while the range–topping cee’d “4” introduces 17-inch alloys, engine stop/start button with smart entry system, panoramic sunroof, 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory, Parallel Parking Assist System and Lane Departure Warning System and Xenon adaptive front lighting system.
