Kia Soul MPG – Gas Mileage And Fuel Economy Figures

Official Kia Soul gas mileage and mpg fuel economy figures!

The totally transformed Soul crossover offers a choice of two efficient 4-cylinder engines.

The base 1,6L GDI engine generates 130-horsepower (at 6,300 rpm) and 118 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,850 rpm.

The more potent 2,0L unit packs 164 horsepower and 151 lb.-ft. of torque at a 4,000 rpm.

Both engines are fitted with the gasoline-direct-injection (GDI) technology.

The GDI system injects gasoline directly into the cylinders which results in a significant increase of power and improved fuel economy.

Editors note:

The real-life Kia Soul fuel economy may differ slightly from the figures you see above.

The numbers depend on your driving habits, as well as on the routs you drive.

If you spend a lot of time in a heavy traffic, you can expect to achieve slightly lower average mpg than mentioned above.

On the other hand, if you drive mostly on highways you can achieve above average fule economy ratings.

Another factor that affects the Soul’s mpg figures is the choice of an engine and transmission.

The more power your car has, the lower mileage you can expect to achieve.

In the Soul’s case, you can also improve the overall mpg, if you opt in for an ISG start-stop system.

The system comes available as a part of ECO Package that costs additional $400, but adds a few extras to the car.

ECO Package

  • ISG (Idle Stop and Go system)
  • Low rolling resistance tires
  • 16-inch alloy-wheels
  • P205/60 R16 tires
