Kia Reports November 2014 Sales, Soul EV Sales Figures

Here we have the official sales figures for the month of November 2014, released by Kia Motors America.

The sales report reveals exact monthly sales figures of Kia vehicles and Kia’s year-to-date sales.

We are particularly interested in the Soul EV sales performance in its second month on the market.

Did it manage improve the sales figures from a month ago, when 109 units were sold and how did it sell compared to other electric vehicles in the United States?

Now, let just dive into the numbers and see how other Kia models performed in November.

Kia Sales By Model

November sales were led by the U.S.-made Optima midsize sedan and the iconic Soul crossover vehicle with 12,707 and 9,146 units sold.

As you’ll notice at the table below, the Soul sales in November were significantly lower compared to the same month a year ago.

This hasn’t happened in some time, but still the Soul managed to take the 2nd spot among Kia cars sold in the USA last month.

Following the Soul was a Sorento CUV with sales of 8,598 units and Forte compact car with 5,047 units sold.

Following the Forte was Kia’s star performing Sedona MPV, which has managed to increase its sales from 522 units (in November 2013) to 3,538 units in November!

The effort Kia has put into development of this stylish MPV is starting to pay off already three months after the model’s inaugural sales launch in the U.S. market!

Other Kia models performed slightly worse compared to a year ago, with Cadenza premium sedan posting the largest drop in sales among the three vehicles (Cadenza, Rio, Sportage).
