Kia Announces June 2013 Sales Figures, Optima’s Still The Best-Seller

Kia Motors America enjoys record May sales, while Optima remains the brand’s best-selling nameplate!

June marked the second straight month where Kia Motors America sold in excess of 50,000 units.

Notable among those numbers was the 2014 Cadenza hitting 1,000 units for the first time, thanks in large part to the new national marketing campaign for the vehicle.

The total units sold came in at 50,536, with the Optima leading the way for the 19th consecutive month.

When combined with the Georgia-built 2014 Sorento CUV, the two vehicles accounted for 40% of the total sales.

Also performing well in June was the Soul crossover vehicle, with 11,287 units sold during the month of June.

7 New Kia Models

Kia is still in the process of launching seven new or redesigned vehicles throughout the course of 2013.

The 2014 Sorento CUV and the Cadenza and Forte sedans are already in showrooms.

All-new versions of the Soul, Forte Koup and Forte 5-door, as well as the refreshed Optima, will be available for sale later this year.

Kia will continue to push the envelope with all of these new products, introducing advanced technologies in each, as well as committing to world-class design and styling at an affordable price point.

  1. I see the Kia Soul is Kia’s No.2 seller in the U.S. I see why! The car is really looking tight and right.
