The Kia Sportage is currently in its third generation and will be getting a minor upgrade for the 2015 model year.

Kia will be delivering a number of creature comforts that have been put in place to make riding in the compact SUV a fun experience for both the driver and his passengers.

Before getting into the details, it’s worth noting that there is a slight different in price for the new model over the previous model year version.

The 2015 Kia Sportage carries over the 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engines that delivers 182hp and a fuel rating of 21/28 mpg city/highway.

2015 Kia Sportage Pricing

The base 2015 Kia Sportage LX pricing will now start at $21,750 ($150 increase) minus title, destination, and other costs.

That little price hike is soon forgotten when you get a look at the standard features in the LX. It gets 17-inch alloys, Bluetooth connectivity, solar glass, keyless entry, and a 6-speed Sportmatic automatic transmission.

All three of the trim levels on this model come with rear vents, while there is an option for a ventilated front passenger seat. Also found in all three trims is Apple USB compatibility.

If you would like a little extra power under the hood, you have the option of a 2.0-liter turbo engine, albeit on the top of the line SX trim. Tilt and telescopic steering for added driver comfort is also found across all trim levels.

The 2015 Sportage’s EX trim level pricing starts at $25,150 and gets 18-inch alloy wheels and LED turn signals on the exterior mirrors. It also comes with a rear spoiler, roof rails, chrome trim on the body and door handles, fog lamps, and high performance dampers that help up the comfort level.

Also included is the UVO eServices telematics system that is packed with in-vehicle diagnostic and convenience features, many of which can also be accessed through a free smartphone app. Voice recognition technology is employed so that the driver is able to keep his eyes on the road and hands on the steering wheel.

The addition of the UVO system also means that a rear parking camera can be used, as can the auto headlamps feature.

Other standard features found on the EX trim level include heated front seats and mirrors and a killer Infinity audio system.

Adding the available Premium Package means also getting access to SiriusXM traffic, a panoramic sunroof, leather seats, push-button start, and power folding exterior mirrors.

Range-Topping Kia Sportage 2015

The top of the range 2015 Kia Sportage SX is priced at $28,100 and comes with the powerful 2.0-liter turbo GDI engine that delivers 260-horsepower.

It sits on the 18-inch alloys, dual exhaust, sculpted side sill moldings, LED accent lighting along the headlamps for a sportier, more upscale appearance and a unique SX grille.
