All that power doesn’t come at the expense of fuel efficiency.
The EPA-estimated numbers for the Optima Hybrid come in at (US) 36 mpg in the city, (US) 40 mpg on the highway, and (US) 38 mpg combined.
The Hybrid EX delivers (US) 35 mpg in the city, (US) 39 mpg on the highway, and (US) 37 mpg combined.
There are some truly unique features on the exterior of the car to help set it apart as a hybrid whilst also improving aerodynamic performance. There are extra vents up font that help increase airflow and reduce drag.

The front of the vehicle features a unique grille that is exclusive to the hybrid. Certain components are made of aluminum instead of steel, which helps offset the battery weight.
