Kia Plans To Launch Sports Coupe Concept At Frankfurt Motor Show!

This is the day that the fans of Kia vehicles have been waiting for so long!

The South Korean second largest automakern has officially confirmed that they are going to launch a brand-new sports coupe concept car at this year’s Frankfurt International Motor Show.

The Europe’s largest and most important auto event is opening its doors for the public on September 11.

Things we know about the upcoming Kia coupe concept

Full details and specs about the concept car haven’t been revealed yet, but Kia says the vehicle was conceived by Kia’s design team in Europe under the guidance of Chief Design Officer, Peter Schreyer.

The stylish concept car, whose name remains a secret at present, is a 2+2 sports coupe with an imposing road presence.

This is what Peter Schreyer told to the press when the first image has been released to the public:

“Kia Motors Corp. has given me a great opportunity to shape the their whole brand design and character. Seldom does an automobile designer have such a clean sheet to work with.”

Our job, or better said, the journey began with the striking ex_cee’d cabrio concept vehicle, which has been unveiled at the Geneva Show back in March.

And at Frankfurt I’m sure we are gonna surprise the entire automotive world when visitors of our booth lay eyes on our new sports coupe concept in the metal.

Those were the words from Peter, but what we say is that the excitement is growing at our end and we are looking forward to seeing the path to Kia’s future corporate design.

  1. I think it looks a bit Audish! We have yet to see some better pics, but for now I generally like it, except the grill looks kind of strange.

  2. FYI… it looks audi-ish cuz the designer is the same guy that designed the TT. i read this car is to compete with the TT of its time.
