Kia Announces Soul EV Base And Plus MSRP Prices

We have known a lot about the all-electric 2015 Kia Soul EV for a while, but the price was still a mystery.

Kia Motors America cleared that up today.

The all-new Soul EV will come in a pair of trims, Base and Plus, with a starting price of $33,700 for the Base and $35,700 for the Plus models.

These prices do not include a $7,500 federal tax rebate.

The lease price for the new Kia Soul EV is expected to come in at around $249 per month.

2015 Kia Soul Electric CarThe numbers delivered by the Soul EV are impressive, starting with an EPA-estimated range of 93 miles, which is best in class.

It also delivers an MPGe of 92 miles on the highway and 120 in the city, with a combined 105 miles.

Kia also made automotive history by having the Soul EV become the first vehicle to be honored with environmental validation by Underwriters Laboratory (UL) for its innovative use of bio-based materials.

The combination of the iconic style of the all electric Soul crossover vehicle and best in class electronic technology makes Kia confident that they are about to deliver a product that consumers will love.

Soul EV Base Pricing

The Base model comes with an awful lot of features for that $33,700 price tag.

You get navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, Rear camera Display, power driver’s seat and windows, cruise control, on-board charger, and an HVAC system that uses minimal power to help extend driving range.

Every single Soul EV also comes with the UVO eServices system, which will include battery status delivered in real time, as well as a display that shows you were the nearest charging stations are given your current destination.

The UVO smartphone app is free and delivers another great set of features, such as the ability to preset charging time and level ratios, not to mention the option of setting the temperature in the cabin using remote control HVAC presets.

2015 Soul EV Base Price

Moving up to the Soul EV Plus means getting additional features such as leather trimmed seats, which are tri-level heated and ventilated for front passengers, while the rear outboard seats are heated for added comfort.

Projection style fog lamps are also included, as are power-folding outside mirrors.

As mentioned above, the 2015 Kia Soul EV Plus pricing starts at $35,700.

Include a $7,500 federal tax rebate and the final price for the Soul EV Base totals $28,200
