Inside Look: Kia Forte 2014 Interior, Exterior
One of the highlights of the Los Angeles Auto Show was the unveiling of the 2014 Kia Forte.
The European inspired design was one that wowed the audience, with the vast majority feeling that the South Korean carmakers have another sure fire hit on their hands with this stunning compact sedan.
The first difference in this new generation Forte is a longer, wider, and lower chassis, which will deliver more interior space. Buyers can also expect better performance and a wider selection of premium amenities when the 2014 Forte arrives in early 2013.
The 2014 Forte will come in LX and EX trims and will feature a choice of either a 1,8L engine or a more powerful 2,0L engine.
Kia says first Forte sedans are set to appear in the U.S. showrooms during the first quarter of 2013.
Expected to be the flagship of KMA’s small car lineup, with Kia believes the model will continue on with the success of the curent Forte, which arrived in ’09.
The Forte is nestled comfortably between the sub-compact Rio and the top-selling Optima midsize sedan. What may come as a surprise to many is the number of premium features found in a car that comfortably seats 5, with plenty of room left over for belongings.

The all-new Forte has a decidedly sporty look, courtesy of an aggressive stance that incorporates broad shoulders and a defined windshield rake.
The new look is sure to catch the eye whether it is parked or in motion on the open road. The design may be very much European inspired, but the idea was born at Kia’s design Center in Irvine, California.
Also included in the new design are dramatically swept headlight lenses with projector headlamps. The addition of LED lights gives an eyebrow appearance to the vehicle that makes it instantly recognizable.
The lower flanks of the Forte have been gently sculpted to give the vehicle a somewhat nimble look, without doing anything to diminish its road presence. The trunk and fender line design around back add width to the overall appearance of the Forte, whilst also allowing the curves of the tail lights to fit perfectly with the overall aesthetic.
The wide doors make getting in and out incredibly easy, whilst also revealing a spacious cabin that seems to come at you in waves. The overall effect is much like the ripples created after a pebble has been dropped in calm waters.
The cabin is most definitely designed to be driver friendly, with high quality materials to be found at every turn. All the controls are well within reach and the instruments are incredibly easy to read.
The Forte comes with an optional 4.2-inch color LCD screen that sits between the white-on-black gauges. The chrome accents on the rotary knobs and optional push button start offer a distinct touch of elegance to the interior.
The brand-new Kia Forte 2014 gets a few more premium elelments as standard, such as Bluetooth connectivity and power windows, mirrors, and doors. Optional features include leather seating trim, power sunroof, dual-zone climate control, and HID headlights. All very sophisticated indeed.
