Here are some new images of the all-new Kia GT rear-wheel-drive sports sedan concept vehicle!
Kia’s all-new concept car, which is scheduled to make its official premiere at the up-coming Frankfurt Motor Show, has been revealed further with some additional images that surfaced on to the world wide web yesterday.
While some automotive media previously reported that the stunning Kia concept car will be called “Verdus”, these latest shots indicate that the vehicle will bear the GT nomenclature (as seen on the rear licence plate)! Further revealed are some unique design details such as suicide doors and B-pillar-less cabin, as well as interior layout.
Details on Kia GT’s drivetrain remain a secret for now. The full details will be released at the official unveiling ceremony in Frankfurt next week. Stay tuned!

To the haters: It looks like an Aston Martin because it was designed by Massimo Frascella (do some research). That guy is hidden and not as noticed as Peter Schyerer but Massimo designed the Sportage, Kue, Rio and also Kia GT. Why else do you think the Rio, Pop, Aston Martin 77 and the Kia GT’s look alike? I bet designing the Rio had to be really really difficult. As for the A7 look will duh, Schyerer worked for Audi. So it makes since why the Kia GT looks like it does. It looks like a Aston and yet it doesn’t but then it looks like the Rio and yet it doesn’t . Then again it does then it doesn’t and yet it does. It also looks like the Optima from the side. I really like that opening in the front that Massimo designed. You can tell having that opening is Massimo’s trademark because it’s on his 77 design as well. From the rear end, I got to assume that Massimo worked on the Kia Ray as well. That is one heck of a design one heck of a design indeed. But what’s strange is it looks like a Kia and his Aston Martin designs but it doesn’t look like that big Kia sedan on spy shots.

I said it before and I’m gonna say it again. This is one hell of a design one hell of a design indeed. It’ll be ready to attack that new and used looking 2012 Lexus GS. So come on GS bring it on. Lexus wants to go Sporty now well see when the GT concept goes into production. It’ll be ready to attack. Just look at that aggressive front end looking just like that Aston Martin 77. So it’s like the 77 and the GT are brothers from a different mother.

I just saw the new Ford EVO’s concept. Let’s just say the Kia Ray’s greenhouse came out first.

Also the new Ford EVOs concept also copied the 2004 Chrysler Firepower concept.

I bet we see something like this but the suicide doors will be gone…

Four days only four days until the unveiling of the Kia GT concept at Frankfurt. And for the Electronic Show in Tokyo, only 2 days just 2 days until the unveiling of Nintendo’s 3ds games. As were waiting, I ‘m going to guess the Kia GT’s mpg. I’m going to say it has to be at least 28 on the highway. Maybe 30. Think about. This bad grounbreaking Kia has an 8 speed auto. It is supposed to make the car more fuel efficient. I hope the mpg is greater than that 2012 GS.
Oh yeah, the face of the Kia GT is also off the 2007 Kia Kee concept. The two Kias have a round like face. I guess that round like front appearence is also off the 2006 Kia Soul. I don’t know but if you pay attention, Kia’s signature design is really begining to take some serious affect. Think about it, Sure it has Aston Martin One 77 in areas, but not the side profile. That side profile is 100% Kia. And you wanna know somethign else on this car that is 100% Kia? The face. Some think the face is simular to the Citron concept.(some car only sold in Europe). However, that concept showed up after the Kia Kee concept was unveiled

Now lets get to the Kia GT’s tailights. That too shows Kia in a way. Some think I’m just some Kia freak and think I don’t know what I’m talking about. Well lets go back to early 2011 at the NAIAS. I’m talking about the Kia Kv7 concept. Those tailights on the Kia GT are very closely related to the headlights on Kia KV7 concept. I’m not talking about the design of the GT’s tailights and the KV7′s headlights. No. I’m talking about the gaps in the KV7′s headlights and the Kia GT’s tailights. Those gaps ain’t found on no Aston Martin One 77. Nor the Mazda RX-7 or the Toyota 89 coupe. They have no design within a design like Kia. You see, Kia don’t just make regular horazontal headlights and tailights like Honda. They put some tang into it. There is a design within a design in the following Kia models: Optima, 2013 Kia Forte, Rio, GT as well as the Kia Cadenza and that Kia K9 on spy shots. Kia isn’t just putting LEDs on their cars and dress up the LEDs to look like an Audi like what Ford did to the 2012 Ford Edge. They are desiging them into what they want the design to be like. When these LEDs are lit, from each Kia it shows the true face of Kia. If you really take a look at the Kia GT, you’ll see more Kia then you think.

Lastly, I know there are over 1000 cars with dual exhaust. However, did you notice the signature Tiger nose made into the GT’s? It’s there alright. It shows that side ways hourglass. Each Kia has looks alike from the Rio, Forte, Optima Cadenza, K2 and K9 including the Soul, Sportage and Sorento. And yet have their own style this includes the Kia GT. The Kia GT is one hell of a design one hell of a design indeed and in 2 days I’m going to find out all about what makes it tick or my name ain’t jtz.

Off topic: A new thought just came to mind when I saw the 2013 Forte and Cee’d on spy shots. Remember when I told you about the A pillars in both cars? Will what if the two cars are actually rebadged. But we will not know yet because the ceed is a 5 door hatch and the Forte was shown as a sedan. We have to see what the 5 door Forte will look like. As strange as it may seem, I betting that the two cars are different in designs. Here’s why: If Kia can make totally two new Rios (Rio and K2) wouldn’t you think Kia would also differ the cee’d and Forte? That’s why I’m sticking with that the cee’d and Forte are different designs. But including the Forte in the cee’d's life cycle this time was a great idea because it saves Kia money. Now they no longer have to redesign a C segment car every 2 or 3 years. When the cee’d gets redesigned the Forte gets redesigned. And I bet that’s how Kia was able to redesign the Forte in such a fast pace. As for the next Carens……. sorry no spy shots yet. But I know that it is near type for that final test to get outside and be driven. I’m guessing the next Carens is going to be square like the KV7 concept. No new info if the Sedona is going to continue or not. I think they should, It’s one of the oldest models in the line up and could sell good if Kia was to do something different with the Sedona comapred to it’s rivals. If Kia can focus on that, the Sedona would be a hit.

That shape of the back window on the Kia GT is also on the Optima and 2013 Kia Forte. I can’t make out what the Forte’s headlights are going to take after but it looks like a cross between the K7′s and the Optima’s. The greenhouse looks like the Optima’s and Rio’s and yet it has it’s own design. Just like the K9′s (not the Kia GT) has a greenhouse like the K7′s and yet it doesn’t. This is getting good. I can’t wait until Frankfurt. Also don’t forget Kia made another RWD concept for us to see. 2013 Kia Forte, 2013 Kia Cee’d and Kia GT hint extra window after the A pillar.

I think KMA is dropping the “Ball” by NOT putting the LED Daytime Running Lamps on (all) 2012 KIa Rio`s regardless of LX, EX, or SX Trim levels. I believe that UK and Canadian vehicles (may) get them as standard equipment. It can`t cost that much more and besides being an excellent safety feature, it gives this B- segment vehicle an upscale distinctive look. When you notice a Sportage or a Sorento in SX trim behind you in your rear view mirror, it looks sharp!
September 13th, 2011 at 8:58 pm
I agree Philip. Same goes for the USA Soul. Only the top trim gets the LEDs in the headlamps. And the Optima could use them as well (I’ve seen pictures fromt other countries with the LEDs as the DRLs in the front fog lamp).
September 15th, 2011 at 7:20 pm
If putting LED Daytime Running Lamps in (all) Trim levels of the 2012 Kia Rio5 and Rio Sedan is a “Cost” issue, at the very least, why not incorporate either the Front Parking Lights, Fog Lights, or Primary Head Lights with a regular DRL module to afford the added safety feature. In the U.S., only Chrysler, Mazda, and Nissan (do not) have DRL`s. U.S. Ford vehicles have the DRL module already and can be activated by any Ford Dealership.
September 16th, 2011 at 3:34 am
Something annoys me about Chrysler’s DRLs. When the turn signal is activated, the DRL on that side goes out. It annoys me to no end.
September 16th, 2011 at 2:29 pm
Greg, Never noticed that odd situation with Chrylser DRL`s. Since I live in the U.S., obviously very few Chrysler Vehicles are ordered with this (option). Next time i`m visiting up in Canada, I`ll have to check that out. I agree, that would be an annoying distraction!

I am in Michigan. We see some Canadian vehicles, but it is easy to tell them because almost everywhere in Canada requires front license tags. Michigan doesn’t. Being in Michigan I see a lot of Chryslers (GM and Ford too) ever since the local Kia dealer’s sales volume died out in 2008. My local dealer was in the top three volume dealerships for all of 2007, but then in 2008 the local economy died. There are still tons of Kias running around, but the newest ones are few and far between. The dealer went from 250+ cars per month to barely selling 35 a month.

To the haters: Meserati 3200 GT, 1994 mazda RX-7, 1999 Ford Escourt, Dodge Stratus but only the Kia GT’s tailights are the copy ignoring the Toyota FT 86 coupe and 2011 Dodge Charger’s also has rainbow like tailights but since Toyota isn’t Korean it’s orginal.
November 30th, 2011 at 3:55 pm
Correction: Since Mazda, Meserati, Ford, Dodge and Toyota are not Korean their tailights are orginal and only the Kia GT (out of 7 listed so far) is the copycat since it’s Korean.

Chevy Monte Carlo and Meserati 3200 GT hint greenhouse.
