First interior design details of the all-new 2011 Kia Optima interior surface to the web!
Guys, this past week was all about Kia Motors! First, we have seen exclusive photos of the 2011 Kia Sportage, which has been revealed in its full production form through a series of leaked images, and then, just a few days later, we have been told that Kia will unveil a brand-new concept car, called Kia Ray at the forth-coming auto show in Chicago.
And the “Kia week” is not over just yet as we have another surpising revealing for all of you, Kia fans. This time, we are bringing you some interesting spy shots of the new 2011 Kia Optima sedan.
Apparently, the fellows from ClubTF.com, a Korean Kia fan website dedicated to the upcoming Kia Optima replacement, had gotten their hands on a few exclusive shots that give us the very-first sneak peak preview at the all-new Optima sedan.
Codenamed TF, the 2011 Kia Optima is scheduled to reach the South Korean Kia showrooms in the second half of the 2010, with a choice of three four-cylinder gasoline engines and one diesel engine, coupled to either a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox.
The Korean-market Optima sedan will be named “K5″ and will be Kia’s second vehicle in Korean market to bear the automaker’s new alphanumeric nomenclature system.
Like all latest Kia models, the all-new Optima has also been penned under the guiding hand of Peter Schreyer, so you can expect to see a nicely executed exterior design lay-out with sporty and sleek lines applied to the car’s body. [Photo-source: ClubTF.com]

Ooo first to comment! Can’t wait to see the whole thing! I know it’s gonna look stunning!
The controls look classy but the grey plastic behind the heating controls looks cheap…then again that won’t be a finished model that is pictured

Ohh that tail light is horrible though!! Maybe it will look better once its seen in proportion with the rest of the car but it looks more like something Hyundai would come out with a few years back (not that that’s a particularly bad thing but it kind of is…)…the K7’s taillights were so nice and these are……*no comment*

It looks cheap inside. Very cheap. The tailights does look more Sonataish. Why? So far, I’m not very impressed.
January 22nd, 2010 at 11:23 pm
So let me guess, Hyundai makes better looking interiors and Kia has better looking exteriors.
January 23rd, 2010 at 12:47 pm
Well, of course JTZ. You get excting exteriors, and we get premium interiors. Johnathan, I think the words you were looking for are: Tailights going to be dated when it hits the street, and tailights looks a lot like the out going Elantra.

Hey!! Guys dont be too fast on blasting this car.It really looks interesting both in and out.Just wait for some more quality pics.
January 23rd, 2010 at 3:42 pm
Im not bashing the car. Its not supposed to have a Premium Interior on the Level of a Sonata, but it still nukes Camry with its interior from 2001.
January 23rd, 2010 at 4:01 pm
Ok ok. I’ll wait until it’s finalized. I’m sure it will look great (I hope so). At least I see a push start button. I wish we could see a bit more though. I want to know what that C pillar looks like.

Test mules always have untextured, cheap interiors.
January 23rd, 2010 at 11:23 pm
I truly HOPE, that’snot the interior. My parents are thinking of this car to replace their old Sonata (03) And interior at this level won’t impress them

Test mules always have untextured, cheap interiors..

I still think that Soul is KIA’s best product by far. Its so a cult car!!!
January 24th, 2010 at 12:37 pm
Greg, test mules not always have cheap interiors…
Test mules do however carry a lot of camo and a lot of measuring equipment of all sorts, so this is NOT a test mule but a pre-production car. The car is due within the next six months, so the testing phase is long behind!
Anyway, the pics are not of the quality we can clearly see the quality of the plastics (which I sincerely hope will be better than the Soul’s…)

Grainy, out of focus “pictures” of bits and pieces of dash and bumper – please. stop wasting our time with this junk. If there are real pictures worth posting, then post them. If not, I think I’ll be able to live a few days without.
January 24th, 2010 at 10:01 pm
Mueledo, even if I agree with you, I somehow must say I’d rather have bad quality out of focus pictures than no pics at all… I these are worth a serious descussion ’bout quality of plastics is of course an other issue…
January 25th, 2010 at 3:45 am
I see mueludo is very serious about shopping.
January 25th, 2010 at 5:27 pm
I have to agree with mueludo these are so pitiful photos. What’s the point of seeing an exterior mirror and part of automatic climate control and a fog light and a tailight? You can see the entire interior of the next Elantra.

Some how tailgate lights akin to Forte???
January 27th, 2010 at 11:05 pm
Nice headlight and bumper.
January 27th, 2010 at 11:16 pm
Will I see that image of the so called K9 may be the K5. The bumpers are very simular. The lines on the hood aren’t and neither or the headlights. The K9’s headlighs look more like the Kia KND-4 concept. The optima still has the family lights and all but it’s nice to see some differances. The bumper reminds me of some mouth that is ready to bite. The animal mouth like bumper is also found on the Kue and KND-4 concepts. Hmmm, it seems this may look better than the K7. But when the K7’s leds are lite, it sure is nice looking too. I can’t wait to see more. Oh yeah did anyone see the next Honda Odessy. Let me tell you that thing has the face only a monther can love. All it is is the Honda Cross Tour with a different body. The Forte and Sorento look the same but also look different just like the Cadenza and the K5.
January 27th, 2010 at 11:22 pm
So um what do you guys think the Ray Concept’s face is gonna look like? Hmmm, if the K9 image is really the next Optima then we still don’t know what the face of the Ray Concept looks like yet. I don’t think Kia will bring more teasers for us to view (it would be nice). They probably will just show it’s face on Feb 10th just like no one knew how the Kia Kue concept’s face looked like until the NAIAS opened. I already like the K5’s face better than the next Sonata. It has that sporty and aggressive appearance that is ready to attack its prey.
January 28th, 2010 at 1:51 am
14 more days until we see the Kia Ray Concept. Just 2 more weeks. That is 336 Hours, 20160 Minutes and 1209600 seconds. Get ready.
January 28th, 2010 at 4:34 pm
I think someone’s chomping at the bit A BIT here!
February 3rd, 2010 at 7:45 am
Hmm.. i know it’s only partial.. but both taillamp and headlights dont look so promising… Yikes! Welll will have to wait for the real thing
