New 2010 Kia Soul Ingnition Special Edition arrives to Kia dealerships across the USA.
Kia Motors America today announced the arrival of the Soul Ingnition Special Edition model. The Soul Ignition is the second Kia Soul Special Edition thus far in 2009, after the Soul Denim, which has been unveiled earlier this year, and represents the second out of four Special Edition Souls that are destined to hit Kia’s U.S. within the next couple of months.
What sets the Ignition Kia Soul apart from other Souls is its attractive exterior appearance, spiced-up by attractive unique body paint and off-set black racing stripe that runs the length of the car. The orange colour is called Ignition and it is the only exterior paint offered for the 2010 Ignition Soul.
Rounding up the unique orange-black exterior treatment of the all-new Kia Soul Ignition are cool looking 18-inch alloy-wheels with machined accents, aluminum gas door, rear spoiler and athletic-looking body kit.
Just like the very first special edition Kia Soul, the Soul Denim, the 2010 Ignition Soul is also built upon the Soul+ model, which hosts a plethora of standard features, but ads a few extras including an Audio Upgrade Package, which involves subwoofer, center speakers, external amplifier and LED lights built-in front speakers that pulse to the beat of the music. The Audio Upgrade Package also includes standard i-Pod cable and steering wheel controls.
Other standard features also include sun-roof, carpeted floor mats, fog-lights and fender vents with side marker repeaters. The special edition Kia Ignition Soul is priced at $17.500 for the five-speed manual. If you are interested in this cool-looking urban crossover vehicle, you better act fast as only a limited number of vehicles will be produced. [Photo-source: Kia Soul Forum]

Kia Motors America today announced the arrival of the special edition Ignition Soul, the second of four special edition Souls to roll into dealerships. The 2010 Ignition Soul, named for its unique exterior color treatment, extends the youthful urban passenger vehicle’s radical styling even further and demonstrates Soul’s expansive list of personalization options.

This second special edition Soul offers consumers yet another opportunity to find a Soul as unique as their own personalities and is matched with impressive fuel economy figures and standard safety features.
Exclusive to the Kia Soul Ignition is a unique ignition orange exterior color, striking black 18-inch alloy wheels with machined accents, an athletic-looking body kit and rear spoiler found standard on sport trims, an alloy fuel door for an even more contemporary appearance and a bold off-set black racing stripe to complete the overall appearance.
Like the previously launched special edition Denim Soul, Ignition Soul is based on the Soul+ model and is fully loaded with the Audio Upgrade Package (center speaker, subwoofer, external amplifier and speaker lights that pulse to the beat of the music), an iPod® connection cable for full functionality via the radio head unit and steering wheel controls, carpeted floor mats, moon roof, fender vents with side marker repeaters and fog lights. Hey — just a quick tidbit:
The Ignition Special Edition is actually built from the “Sport” Version of the Soul…..so you get the “Sport” suspension tuning and lower-body treatment.
Added to this, you get the unique spec of the black interior from the “Plus,” with the addition of a leather steering wheel, sunroof, audio upgrades…….and of course the unique exterior color and wheels.
Kind of cool!

I’d get some more alloy on my S.E. Ignition Soul’s wheels than on those. Less color and more shinier metallic glow. I’d need to replace the wheels but the rest of this S.E. Ignition Soul is lookin’ spot on!

Anyone know if there will be a 3rd Special Edition Soul? I noticed there is another color available for the touch up pens (”Ghost” color code 1H) that is not listed on the Kia USA site (similar to how Denim and Ignition are not listed as an available color, though I can get a touch up pen for them). This “Ghost” color is like a chalk-white, maybe a really pale gray (or “grey”).

The third special edition is trickling into dealers. The “Dragon Soul” is a black plus model with dragon decal, black wheels, foglights, sunroof, audio upgrade package, and black LEATHER seats with “Soul” Stitched in. You should check it out over at the Forum. It is the third special edition. The fourth special edition is Ghost, which you can find pictures of that over at kiasoulforums(dot)com. The Ghost (known internationally as “Blue Stone”) will be out near the end of January.

SE1 Denim - blue/white offset stripe, SE2 Ignition = orange/black offset stripe is cooler than a fan. I LOVE MY SOUL SE2. It’s the best. The SE3 and SE4 is avail now. SE3 is the Dragon = black with decal. SE4 is the Tempest with Titanium = gray.
Anyone know how many SE2 were made?
