Edmunds tested the 4.6 in Equus and said it still had plenty of power, and you can feel it move.
-
Motor Trend is stupid, the IS is the size of a Sonata/K6 dude. The ES is the sze of Azera/K7, the LS is the the size of Genesis/K9, the GS is the size of Equus.

Kia is getting the K9 but it want get a V8 engine. It will just be a rwd car with a nice V6. It will be smaller than the Genesis yet bigger than the Lexus IS. At least Motor trend seems to think so.

I saw the Equus at the NAIAS, and I was impressed. Based on the size of the Equus, Kia will be staying out of that market for a while yet. The 4.6L is probably pretty strained in the Equus. Can't wait for that 5.0L.

JTA, Cruze is supposed to get 44 MPG, though at a loss-Horsepower. The Focus and Elantra will have ~170 HP standard, the Cruze 140=Standard. Even smaller the Accent will have more power and better fuel economy than the Cruze.
-
New Focus=37-39 MPG (Fiesta gets 40 MPG)
New Elantra=40 MPG+

I just saw the Caddlilic XLS or something like that. Eventhough the greenhouse looks like a maybech that thing is nice. I tell you nice. People are still talking about the aging Cruze. I hope Hyundai doesn't let the Cadenza age that would be a shame wouldn't it? Keeping a car covered up on spy shots is more important than I thought.

Well so much for GM saying the Chevy Cruze is the most fuel efficient car in its class. They'll only be able to say that for a few weeks. Then GM has the next Elantra to worry about too? Oh yeah GM missed up big time.

With the now two year old design of the Chevy Cruze, I don't know if it will do so well. It's aging rapidly. People are alreadying comparing this to the new Focus and let me tell you that Focus looks nice. when I see the Cruze, it looks so so outdated already. It needs a facelift before it goes on sale.

The 2.0L in the Soul is done for very soon, in favor of the Theta version.

JTZ Greg, Hyundai puts engines in KIAs so they can make them as reliable as possble and then the work the kinks out. After the knks are worked out the engines go into Hyundais. Hyundai has already designed the car they want, but KIA tests the powertrain, before they use it. the 1.6 and 2.0 the Soul uses will get GDi and go in Accent and Elantra.

Back on that Honda CR-X. Why can't Honda ever put their panal in the middle of the dash? The navagation system looks so tacky. Why would I want my radio closer to my passenger than me the driver? Why does the passengers need to view my speed limit and know how much gas I have like in that civic. It makes the car look tacky. yuck.

Oh yeah one other thing. Why is it during the Super bowl Hyundai's commercials are all over the place but when it's Kia's turn for advertising in the NBA Hyundai is on there too. But if there is an NBA game on TNT Hyundai is all over the network with not a sent of Kia's commercials. Hyundai never even claims Kias as it's sister company like Ford or GM 's companies but Hyundai wants Kia's sells globally so that they can say they outsell fords. They only want to claim Kia as it's brand only when it comes to total sells why it uses Kia as a crunch.
