Following our latest spy report and ahead of its official Frankfurt unveiling, we are bringing you a few extra images of the all-new Kia Venga.
Finally, we can show you some high-quality images of the all-new Kia Venga, which will make its European debut during next week’s Frankfurt motorshow and go on sale in most European markets towards the end of the year or early next year.
The 2010 Kia Venga offers seating for five adult people and eventhough it belongs to the B-segment, it offers plenty of interior space. According to Kia, its interior space is on par with that from C-segment hatchbacks, such as Kia cee’d or VW Golf. Venga’s interior is flexible and features sliding 60/40 split rear seats and twin level boot floor. To maximise its loadspace, rear seats also fold flat into the floor.
Kia Venga is powered with two diesel and two gasoline engines mated to 6-speed manual transmission, while automatic tranny is available as well. All engines in the vehicle’s line-up meet EURO5 emission standards and are available with the ISG ( start & stop) technology.
The upcoming Venga is based on a slightly modified Soul’s platform and will be marketed exclusively for the European market. It was designed to offer maximum protection for the driver and passengers, so a 5-star safety rating is expected from the EuroNCAP crash test, which will be conducted sometime in the spring of 2010.
The all-new Kia Venga will make its official debut on Sept. 15th, so stay tuned as we will closely follow its official debut, as well as cover other Kia’s premieres. We are already excited about that!

Nice looking car! How long before it hits the US?

Loveit. It should sell really well as the new Meriva is still a little while away and the current one is outdated. It also looks a whole lot better than the Nissan Note (on the inside and outside).
I think its biggest competition will come from the eccentric (but still great looking) Citroen C3 Picasso.

Chajee Pojee-word is that we’re not gonna get Venga here in da States. Some new derivation of the Rio we will get, perhaps off of this platform, saying that with a question mark? This Venga looks great, I’d like one with an all-electrically-propelled powertrain. Here in da States.

reminds we a bit of the Yaris. I wonder if the revamped Rondo/Carens will be a larger version of this vehicle? It should come to North America, it could do very well here.

i think this’d make a nice transformation for the US Kia Rio & Rio5— it kindof has the Rio-ish character about it & would give the honda fit a good kick in the pants while leaving the Soul in its own niche.

I would almost rather have this than a Honda Fit/Jazz. I wonder how it will compete.

I like this but a thought just came in my head. Since Europe is getting this then is this replacing the next gen Rio5 or will both of them be on sell together? It silly to sell this and next Rio5 at the sametime in Europe.

If they sold these in America i’d get so tired of seeing them after awhile.

I was thinking what JTZ was thinking.
HOWEVER, Vauxhall sell the Corsa and Meriva in the UK (the Corsa being the Rio/i20 and the Meriva being the Venga).
I still think both would sell if the next generation Rio was made to be really sharply styled and sporty.

Looks great from all angles, except for the front. The grille looks too small. There shouldn’t be painted bodywork between the grille and front headlights. Designers have left themselves something to improve upon for the 2014 refresh.

I especially like the side profile of Venga, which features many sharp lines. I have heared that Venga will be attractively priced and more affordable than Soul, so I bet it will become the second best selling Kia car after cee’d. It should do really well here in Europe.

the front does look up to date with the extra-swept back lights leaving a gap of paintwork between the grille. makes it look futuristic.

If I worked in Kia’s Marketing Dept. I would sell this in the US as a hybrid-only model. This design is far better than the Prius and Insight. It would also differentiate it with the Soul too.
