These are the latest spy shots of the upcoming Kia Forte Koup, codenamed XK. The Forte Koup is a two-door compact car built on the same platform as the European cee’d hatchback. It has been officially unveiled yesterday at the auto show in New York, where Kia released full details on it’s powertrain specification and equipment levels.

ATTENTION: Europe will NOT receive Forte/Cerato 4 door sedan, Forte/Cerato 2 door coupe, or any other variation of the Kia Forte/Cerato. Europe wanted the cee’d and got it. Then Europe got the pro_cee’d , and no one else did. You guys are FINALLY being left out. I don’t even want to hear complaints. Keep your damn cee’ds!

We know that Greg! In general, they (forte, pro_cee’d) are both built on the same platform, so we get kind of same car with different body shell and some slight powertrain differencies. US gets better gasoline engines, while Europe gets diesels.

hey himi, I remember u had once predicted sumthin in reply to a guy who wanted cee’d in his country. U said once the forte cums out, europe will be wanting tht and will be in the same situation as when we wanted cee’d. well, tht really came true.

Plus I wouldn’t be suprised if you guys got the Soulster along with the already planned No.3 concept. But isn’t a facelifted cee’d is supposed to be in the works? But it’s funny, once the cee’d debuted, it was the best Kia. What I really want to see is the European version and American version Rios. I want to see which one looks better. I still can’t find that article but supposely the Rio is going to be in totally two different designs (I hope N.A. gets the better design).

I for one want the Kia No.3 concept turned in to a production model (duh, of course it will go to production) and brought to the States. Being brought to the U.S. is not a given. I like it’s funkadelic design. Making it an all-electric powerplant would make it all the more attractive to this SE Arizonan.
