Do you guys have any idea of what this could be? Is Kia preping to go racing and join some track-racing series such as BTTC ( British Touring Car Championship )? Don’t have any idea and have never heard of anything like that, but that wouldn’t hurt Kia’s sporty image, right!?

I’ve seen all the other pics of the car (3 in total). This is either a toy, or scale model. There are no brakes on the car; Racing cars don’t have tinted side and front windows, etc!
But hey… maybe it will become a true racing car!

It does not seem to be a toy car. The picture is from an announcement at the Belgian Motorsport site: http://www.autosport.be
The accompanying text translated in English:
The – in Belgium – very successful English Chad Racing team enters two KIA Pro Cee’d Silhouette S1 in the Belgian Touring Car Series. The car was presented yesterday at the site of the BTCS and they look very beautiful. Ian Dockerill and Philippe Steveny will be driving one of the two cars, while the second car is still waiting to be entered. The KIA will race against BMWs, Renaults, Jaguars and Mazda’s.

Yeah its entered into the Belgian Touring Car Series. There are a few cars in it that run with the ridiculously large rear wings on, including the Renault Megane.

This car has actually nothing much to do with the Kia Pro_cee’d, apart from it’s shape (you could say it’s silhouette…).
It’s an Oreca frame (which is based on the Renault Megane frame) modified by Pesca.
The driver Steveny has a Kia dealership (www.steveny.be)

Sorry to disappoint you but it is a radio controlled model.
The wheelnuts are 3mm nyloc.
But it’s certainly very nice.

As a Belgian member of Chad Racing, I a can insure you that this is a real race car, not a scale model or a radio controlled model
It will participate in the Belgian Tourag Car Series (BTCS). One will be driven by Iain Dockerill and Philippe Steveny, a second one by Raf Vanthoor and Koen Wauters.
It is true that there are no breaks on the car on this picture, but this was just a presentation of the car on the beginning of february. It has been modified since. As well a the tinted side and front windows!!!
