These might not be the best quality spy shots we have ever seen, but still give us quite a good impression of the crossover’s interior layout. As much as we can see from the images, we can say that center console, gauges, steering wheel and other interior parts retained the shape that we have seen on Soul concepts at the auto show in Geneva.

The Soul model we see here lacks the metallic accents from Soul Burner or gold door handles spotted in Soul Diva. It’s also full of shiny plastic, that screams “cheap”, but you should know that this is a pre-production model and by the time Soul goes on sale, the interior will be fitted with higher grade materials.

I just saw an 09 SPortage here. The interior cloth is the same as a Rondo and the dash is a little more molded with better qaulity materials. It does look like a rondo from the front and they got rid of the different color bumpers.

yeah the two tone bumpers look far better and so does the tail lamps and front face which look more aggresive than any previous sportage.
    .
wish soul had forte’s interior with the glossy finish on the steer wheel and the other things.

You sound a little disapointed Boris! Let’s wait and see some official shots from Kia. I bet youl’ll change your mind about the interior.
As I said, this is a preproduction model and when Soul comes to production it will have the same quality as Forte and concepts.

O good. its a pre-production model. should’ve guessed that after seeing images of soul with the H-grille which means previous ones were probably not production models. And the spy shots of the forte also had the same unfinished interior afterall.

I like it. Remember, this is pre-production. Production may have a shift gate. Here in Manistee, I have been seeing a lot of Kia vehicles from Canada. I have seen black, red, and white 2009 Sportages, and today I saw a grey Optima with a Magentis badge (Canada). I must say, the steering wheel shown is flatter, and more boring than I would like, but, again, this is a test model.

i really doubt they would change the whole transmission, preproduction or not. if you want to shift yourself, get a manual! however, a lot more can be expected from the interior! cant wait to see in production guise!

soul is supposed to have a long list of options to customise it. A fully manual tranny isnt what drivers look for in grid locked traffic.

does it have leather? it looks like it does anyway. i just wanna know two things… a)what kind of stereo will it have? i’m hoping for the infinity with several speakers & sub, it looks like that MAY happen due to the speaker in the center of the dash… & b)navigation anyone!?

well we’ve seen it has a reversing camera so it should have navigation. if the forte has infinity then soul should have it as well. we’ve seen that sportage’s sterio has been upgraded to the infinity. We should hope for the best.

Dont forget that Sirius will soon be standard on all Kias.

US marketed Kias not the whole world.

why do factory workers in Korea keep launching stikes against Kia??? makes me mad!

hmm, I’ll see if I can get info from Kia officials thru Kia-Buzz. Since Kia has made the soul website, they shud answer my question.

is it black steering or is it the glossy finished steering from forte? looks good there. I sent himi a spy video of the VG prototype and of the XM as well. the VG vid had the same soul in it as in the pix patrick has linked.
