Kia intends to distinguish itself in the crowded automotive marketplace with distinctive and exciting designs of the new cars. First evidence of that, is the Soul crossover, which will be making it’s world premiere at the Paris Auto Show in October.
It was designed to defy classification and encourage customers to build an emotional bond with their new car by providing a creative platform that they can customize to match their own character. Several inside reports suggest that Kia will offer a variety of options, accessories and colors on the Soul. I have also been told that Kia team in Korea was working on vinyls and that the version of the dragon vinyls, as seen on images here, will be available.

I love it, absolutely love it!!! This Burner style has made me want the Soul even more. I wish I can buy it next year. I’m really impressed by it’s design and those dragon vinyls look just great on it.

Wow. Nice the Soul is going into production. Something not even Scion thought of. I wish they got the front. The Soul Burner concept’s face is diffrent between the Diva’s and Searcher’s. I want to know if the Burner in production is like that too.

hey guys I’m back! we have shifted to sharjah now and took quiet a while [almost a month] to get the internet connection. So now I’ve to a place thats close to the HKAG yard. All sportages in that yard are now the 2009 model and since day before yesterday, I’ve seen some on thee road. Only spotted one mohave since it was launched. and THE Facelifted optima and its got the H-grille.
.
Anyway, back on topic, As most of you know, I just love the Kia soul and this one rocks. Although I prefer the matte black over this glossy red paint that makes it look like a plastic toy. dark red without gloss would look better.

Welcome back Boris, nice to hear from you again. It’s been quite a long time since I last saw your comment on the K-W!
Back on topic: I was surprised to see the vinyls actually coming to production. This was one item that I expected not to see on the Soul, but I’m glad its here cause it gives the car even more unique look.
I also love these alloy-wheels and red color.

A Soul has no colour… I just visited the korean soul website and found out that the soul has got quiet an ironic caption or what ever its called [e.g: the power to surprise]. the caption is: A soul has no colour. O and remember that spy shot in which there was a, so called, funky soul? and after some excitement we came to a conclusion that the picture’s exposure and contrasts have been tinkered with. Its true… I didnt find that ‘funky’ colour on the site. BTW, there r 11 colour options which include tomato red,
vanilla shake,
stone blue,
clear white,
java brown,
Bright silver,
titanium silver,
‘blue stone’ which is a really light blue that looks almost white,
the black colour is called ‘Black Soul’,
Cocktail orange,
‘green tea latte’ which might be the kee colour
and a beautiful dark blue colour thats called ‘Moonlight Blue’ and it doesnt look like moonlight [cuz it dark blue]
.
height is 1,610mm [5ft 4″] and width is 1,785mm [5ft 10″]. length is 4,105mm.
the 15″ rims have tyres with track width of 195mm and wall measures 65mm
the 16″ rims ….trackwidth of 205mm and wall: 55mm
the 18″ rims…. track width of 225mm and wall: 45mm .nice!
.
no more info than that. BTW, here’s an exciting bit I noticed. there a small bit on the rear hatch sticking out at an angle with a black circle under it. I think soul has got a reversing camera!!!

Cool.
When are you going to bring small car on North America market?
Do not miss Canada, please.
August 28th, 2008 at 4:38 pm
What do you mean by “When are YOU”? If you’re refering the “YOU” to Kia, then let me inform you that this is not an official Kia blog. the official blog is kia-buzz.com. anyway, I can answer you. As far as I’ve heard, the soul should debut in North America by april and yes, it will also debut in canada.
