Kia Motors announced it will unveil its latest small-sized sedan model, the Forte, at its headquarters in South Korea next week. The first official images Kia released about a month ago revealed attractive exterior design that draws heavily on the style of the recently revealed Koup concept.
So far, you could have seen plenty of exterior spy shots, but thanks to our regular blog reader from South Korea, you can now take a look inside the car. These latest spy shots reveal the cabin of the new Forte that retains many of the shapes and styling cues from the interior of the Koup concept.
The Forte will be available as a four-door sedan at first, but you can expect to see a sporty two-door model to be launched sometime in May 2009, Kia said. At the beginning customers will only have a choice of 1,6L (124 horsepower) engine, but the engine lineup will be extended to a 2.0-liter one by the end of the year, the automaker also said.
Kia expects the Forte to attract a younger target audience, and will also help the manufacturer reach its goal of doubling its global sales tally by 2010 by offering customers a more upmarket and stylish range of models.

This is a very sharp interior. Nothing new and innovative but well placed and thought out. The gauges look incredible. Plus, that steering wheel is sick. I like it a lot.

I really like what I see here. If the Forte shows up here in the US with a quality feel to go along with the sharp, clean look then the domestics should be very concerned.

Cool it gets the Soul Diva’s (or Burner) steering wheel. I like that. I have my fingers crossed hoping those leather seats come to the States (if not the navagation system).

Do we know what options will be coming to the US? It would be nice to see one well equiped like that. It would blow the domestics away.

This really is a BIG upward step, compared to our current Cerato. Im so happy that everything is so symetrical also. I think these images will be the final thing I have to show my mother to convince her to want to buy one, once theyre on sale here of course.

Great Sterring wheel & interior. A Japanese Beater from KIA.

I also like the interior and find it to be a mix between Hyundai i30 abd Soul, which is not a bad thing, since both look great. I only wish there was some more chromed details inside.
