Autoblog writer snapped some pics of a cloaked Kia Forte beeing driven en-route to Pennsylvania. When his family was passing through the Motown outskirts, his wife Sara spotted a white vehicle covered with black camo in front. She grabbed her I-Phone and took some nice pics of the vehicle.
Autoblog’s spy report includes four different images, each showcasing Forte sedan from different angle. Perhaps the most interesting of all taken images, is the one where you can clearly see the upper part of Forte’s dashboard.
Although we have already seen some spy shots of the interior, that’s the part of Kia Forte that still remains elusive to us. Take a quick look at these interior spy shots and you’ll notice that the production interior retains many of the shapes, lines and styling cues from the interior of Kia KOUP concept.

The design looks very sharp and I love how the Forte looks. Now we have to wait and see how Kia names the Spectra/Forte for US market. Will it retain the Spectra name or will it be named the Forte?!
Which name do you like more?
I choose Forte name, what about you?

Yeah Patrick, I thought this car was designed to bring young people to Kia! Perhaps she works as an engineer at Hyundai-Kia technical center and she’s been testing the reliability of the car.

You guys obviously don’t realize Michigan’s fashion trends for 50-70 year old men. That is just a guy with long white hair. Almost all guys in Michigan have that. How do we know it’s going to PA?

Perhaps this older person, male or female (I’d like to see their face to know whether it’s a man or woman) thinks driving a Kia Forte will make people think they are a young 40 year old again? Get it? Anyone? Bueller? I just looked up the definition of forte and on definition.com it says some synonyms are “talent, skill, excellence, strength, specialty” So Forte would be a good name to have. But they bring up a good point, there are 2 pronunciations. One is similar to the word “forty” (which is what I was making a joke about) with two syllables- “four tay”, and there’s also a single syllable word that is similar sounding to the word “fort”. Which pronunciation will be used if it is the Forte? An interesting pronunciation sidenote, when we had our Borrego training here a few weeks ago, the rep asked us how we pronounced “Sephia”: “Seph YA” or “Seph EE ya”, as well as learning the Borrego is apparently pronounced “Boe RAY go”, not “Boe REG oh” (as I had thought).

Bryan- I work in the parts department and we’ll here [Rio] REE ya, [Sportage] Spor TAH zjay (like Protegę), [Spectra] Spectrum (I think Captain Scarlet works for them!), [Sorento] Sar RON tuh, [Sedona] Seh DOHN er, and [Amanti] Ah MEN it TEE. Also have people mididentify their vehicle, model year and engine size “2004 Spectra 2.0L engine” (VIN says it’s a 2003 Rio with 1.6L); Kia considers the rear hatch a door, so a hatchback Spectra is a 5 door hatchback, not a 4 door sedan- but personal owners and body shops will call it a 4 door sedan. Luckily the VIN identifies it- a 12 after the 5 letter identification is a sedan, 16 is hatchback. Last interesting part, my dealership is a Kia only lot, and occasionally we’ll get calls about a Hyundai model that they’ll argue is a Kia until they tell us the VIN and I do a CARFAX search and say “nope, that’s a Hyundai ______ according to CARFAX dot com!” We can only work on and order Kia parts, unless you want us to be the middle man and order from a Hyundai dealer! Cheers everyone!
