Yes! Its back looks better than the Corolla.
February 16th, 2008 at 4:12 am
Um, Himi is the third picture the facelifted Optima? I’m looking at the A pillars and they look a lot like the Optima.
If I could see the side of it more I could really tell.
February 16th, 2008 at 4:18 am
It is the facelifted Optima. I had to look at the A pillars of the TD in orange and notice that the A pillars are diffrent. Way to f****n go Himi you hit the jackpot.

iTS BACK LOOKS LIKE THE NEW SUBARU.
February 16th, 2008 at 10:06 am
the back reminds me of the lexus IS. Its looks very nice though. Lots of journalists will say that it looks like the IS.
that third pic does remind me of optima (the wheels). it seems to have the same grille as borego, though a little smaller.
February 16th, 2008 at 10:08 am
Yes JTZ. You’re right! In third pic, there is facelifted Optima!
Back to the SPectra: this is the 4-door sedan, right. I’m a little confused because it’s trunk is kind of short, isn’t it?
February 16th, 2008 at 11:30 am
omfg! go schreyer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! go himi!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ahhhhhh!!!! im so excited!!!!! love the H shape grille that is sorta visible. so its a facelift, not a new model, rite? hope it looks sportier and that schreyer does something even better for the amanti…
February 16th, 2008 at 11:31 am
thats only the boot cover. even altima has a short lid but it still deep and spacious. but I wish the rear headrest was adjustable.
February 16th, 2008 at 1:24 pm
Well, it’s not difficult to make more beautifull rear-design as Corolla has! More important is if this rear end has better design as Lancer, Civic or next gen. Mazdar sedan will have. Those should be considered as Spectras main competition. And Kia should make sure the new Spectra looks better.
Why I’m telling design is important…You should know that 4 out of 5 consumers decide about the car on it’s look and design!
February 16th, 2008 at 3:55 pm
that 4 out of the five is my mom and me.
February 16th, 2008 at 4:51 pm
- …Lancer, Civic or next gen. Mazdar sedan… Those should be considered as Spectras main competition-
you’re absolutely right. these three are the sporty and sexy looking of this segment, and Kia is going for a sporty future so these are the cars that Kia should watch closely. mazda and mitsu are realy impriving their cars now.

Hey guys – help me out here !I`m confused by your comments above. Looks to me like the first three pics are all the same car (the new Spectra) and the fourth is a highly camoflouged Optima). Am I wrong??
Really like the treatment of the rear end on the Spectra, as do all of you .
February 16th, 2008 at 6:27 pm
YOu’re right micro99! First three are Spectra pics and last one is Optima.
February 16th, 2008 at 6:37 pm
Looking at the rear desing, I don’t quite like it! It’s plain and simple plus it resembles to the back of Hyundai Elantra and Lexus too much. I should probabbly wait for better pics…
February 16th, 2008 at 7:14 pm
Sorry to confuse you micro99. earlier the optima was the third pic. himi has chnged its position now.
and himi, I completely agree with the relevence to lexus.
February 16th, 2008 at 7:49 pm
Unwrap ‘em!
February 17th, 2008 at 1:18 am
No probs Boris ! You know it`s interesting how certain pics inlfluence people differently. When I look at the third pic of the Spectra rear end, I see a short deck and almost a “bangle- butt” type of concept, gleened from BMW ! Weiiiird . I really like this by the way.
February 17th, 2008 at 1:05 pm
hmmm. yeah. a bit. 5-series like. or 3 series???
February 17th, 2008 at 2:12 pm
OMG! You can totally see the H grille! Beautiful! Absolutely magnificent! Astounding!
February 17th, 2008 at 2:15 pm
Actually, that back end could be Optima too. It resembles the back of our Optima, so it’s a possibility. Kia may have loved the Spectra wheels enough to use them on the Optima to throw us off.
February 17th, 2008 at 2:24 pm
Uuh, I was looking for Optima facelift pics, and I found this uncamoed hatchback that looks nothing like the current spec5. Take a look, and tell me what you think:

not sure if this works here:

February 17th, 2008 at 3:45 pm
U think they’d use so small wheels on optima?
February 17th, 2008 at 5:31 pm
That fourth pic is interesting too ! We assume that it`s a “face- lifted” Optima but it really is so much different than the current Optima I wonder? That whole front end is different , with diferent headlights and all – seems too much bodywork change for just a “face-lift” and more like “next -generation ” ?What do you think ?
February 17th, 2008 at 8:55 pm
It may be next gen! What they said about “New face of Kia” may be true!
February 18th, 2008 at 9:35 am
yeah but from what little we can see, the greenhouse looks pretty much the same, the side mirrors look the same and an even stronger argument, the current one only debuted in mid 2006, so it may be a tad too early to run their 3rd gen optima around… for now its safe to assume that its a major facelift/plastic surgery/wateva… hehe
February 18th, 2008 at 11:42 am
Patrick is right, Optima will get a major facelift with a new face. The overall body seems to be the same as now, but there are major chnages on the grill and front lights.
The grille and lights seem to be similar to that found on Kue concept, don’t you think?
February 18th, 2008 at 12:15 pm
er. really?
February 20th, 2008 at 3:00 am
to be frank we do not see much on the new optima ( magentis in Canada )… hard to comment
Rear end Spectra really looks right in between lexus IS and Elantra, it is pretty nice. i am still convinced that the ceed would sell alot in North America.
Since it is beeing build in Slovakia, it would be very costly to export them out of europe… it is not close to any ocean.

Oi,
It’s nice car
When we this car coming to Indonesia?
February 21st, 2008 at 1:21 pm
Expect it to come to Indonesia after sometime by the end of 2009. Acording to my informations new Spectra will first debut in S.Korea at the end of 08, and America early 09. Other parts of the world, including Indonesia, should follow soon after that!

FROM PESCARA, ITALY
