The team at Kia Motors America (KMA) has been hustling this past week getting ready for two big “games.” On Thursday, January 10, KMA and the National Basketball Association (NBA) held a news conference in New York to announce that Kia Motors is now the Official Automotive Partner of the NBA. This is the first time KMA has entered into a multi-year marketing partnership with any sports league.

KMA President and CEO Len Hunt was on-hand with NBA Commissioner David Stern to kick off this momentous announcement, which includes Kia being the sole sponsor of the NBA Performance Awards. The Performance Awards include the season MVP, Sixth Man Award, Defensive Player of the Year, Most Improved Player Award and the Eastern Conference and Western Conference Player of the Month Awards. KMA will present a brand-new 2009 Kia Borrego to the charity of choice of each of the season Performance Award winners.

Is that really the Kia Kee? Or an illusion, or a picture? Looks weird in that picture. It might just be having to look at Bill Walton that’s causing it!

Yes, that’s the Kee. We thought of posting the picture of Kee at Detroit in our post but thought again, because Mike answered about Boris’s question with his comment. Anyway, that is the Kee and it’s not a weird looking picture.

It’s really a cool concept. I liked how the motor sounded when I watched one of the Kia Kee videos on here. Also it’s push-button starter.
