Do you remember Kia Kee concept car, crashing on it’s way to L.A. Auto Show? Well, here is a great news for you folks. The “new face” of Kia is coming back to USA!

While on it’s way to make American debut at L.A. Auto Show, the Kee got into an accident. Kia’s attractive concept car wriggled out of its cargo restraints and slammed it’s face into the front of it’s transporter. Kee’s face was crumpled and the consequences of that accident were impossible to hide. Kia sent the Kee back to Europe to get the damage repaired

And now, acording to Michael Choo, Kia’s International PR manager, Kee is finally fixed and ready to make a splash at North American International Auto Show in Detroit. It is scheduled to be unveiled at Kia’s press conference on Monday, January 13th.

We will closely watch if it’s front end was changed or redesigned. Kia could do just some minor tweaks to make it look even better!

I was reading comments at autoblog a while ago and most people didn’t like the car, especially it’s face. But most of them only saw the Kee on pictures.

While on the other hand, people who have seen it live were very impressed with it’s design. That’s also what Steve said who took some journalists to Kia’s Frankfurt design center to test drive the Kee!

Greg will confirm if the car really looks so much better live than on all those shots we have seen on the net!

That is great news. You think they repainted it Himi? If they may give it a better looking face they might as well give it another (a better) color. Then again, I heard that the green isn’t really that bad live. I told myself If Kia wasn’t going to bring a concept to Detroit, I wasn’t going. I’m from Ohio and I never seen a Kia concept live before. So, I’ll be there.

They had to repaint it’s front. But I think they used the same colour to do that. It’s not a bad colour to me.

So, another KIA-WORLD member will be at the show! That’s great news. You could meet Greg there. He will be at the show too.

If I see a 14 year old hanging out in the Kia area and has been there for hours (the Borrego for hours) I’ll ask him if he is Greg from Kia-World. I plan on going there on the Saturday after it just opened.

    He he JTZ! :)
I think Greg will be there a few days later. He was very upset when he saw the exhibitors schedule, that I posted here yesterday. He said he won’t make it to the show on the first day, I think.

Anyway, you’ll both have an opportunity to see two of the most exciting Kia cars in person and perhaps you meet someone from Kia people there! I guess I’ll have to wait to see the Kee in person till Kia invites me to it’s European design center located in Frankfurt! :D
