we have a lot of Kia reps come to the store and after talking to one he let me know a little about the new spectra that he said should debute NEXT year. He said it will be a complete redesign and that the Optima for 08 is getting new engines with MORE power.

Have you heard anything on the Mojave pick-up concept? My dealership says it is coming soon.

Pennsylvainia Kia dealers have been selling a lot of cars! My family has an ’07 Optima with an I4, and around 160 H.P. is powerful enough!

Colby, do you have anymore info on this?

Not to my knowlege. the olny other car that was mentioned was the sport coupe. It should be a modified tiburon but may be convertable. The truck wouldn’t make a lot of sense just because most kia stores wouldn’t have the service departments and lifts needed to work on a truck, unless it was a compact truck like a ranger or colorado based on the Sorento or Borrego platform.

I doubt we are going to see the pick-up truck. I would get some infos on that if the truck was really coming, but so far all I could get was not very encouraging.
If it was up to me, I would rather see Kia develope a sports car like Kee than a truck.

I just the the spec sheet for the 2008 Kia optima for the US market. They opted to stick with the current engines until the facelift in 2009. But they did make an AUX input standard on all models and they made the Optima EX come with leather standard and the price is still at $20000 US for the EX I-4

Cool! Why another redesign? They have it at its best! Whatever though. AUX IS A GREAT IDEA!! Go Kia!

some of the cars in need of designing are Opirus – it looks too much like Jaguar and Merc-Benz. Sportage – looks like tucson, KND 4 would be a good redesign for sportage. Optima – Look at Camry, Accord and Altima, Optima is lagging behind these cars which look more agressive looking and are more sporty. Rio – not so serious but for the sake of kia being a sporty brand it needs redesigning.

NOOO!!! I have heard so many people tell me how much better my Optima looks because of its simple and elegant design, rather than Camry and Accord “TRYING” to look sporty but failing terribly. The Rio and Sportage need some work. They look too much like their Hyundai running mates. Camry and Accord are the dumbest looking “sporty” cars I have ever seen! The Amanti(Oprius) is looking great too because of its smaller grille, 9-spoke alloy wheels and vertical taillights. Whatever they do is supported by me no matter what.

Due to the popularity of dancing salesman commercial, I decided to post it here once again. I hope you don’t mind! Enjoy watching it!

I think the commerical of the dancing salesman is in very poor taste, to put it mildly. Something like that would keep me from ever considering buying a KIA. We, should try to improve the morality of our society and not encourage dirt like is demonstrated in that commerical. It stinks!!

Just saw your kia commercial with the black guy :up front” repeating craaazy so many times. Personally I LOVED the first ones when you played up the word craaazy with diff (was it) fam members. Doesn’t matter who’s doing the talking…what matters to me is that I pay attention to down-playing the word craazy “just enough” to put it more as a background thing…it WORKED…don’t shove it out front in our faces because people tell you they like it. Let it “get into our heads” and just play with our brain. I heard it, went to work telling a couple of people “hey I love that kia commercial, it’s just craaazy. Must have said “that’s just craaazy” 12 times that week, smiling. Every once in awhile a single word will become a part of our language. Work it, work it…you had a good thing…back off & do like you did in the beginning. Work it right, it’ll become YOUR word:)
