As you know power and torque are different , for suv vehicles torque in most situations is more useful in off roads .
At the end , torque is the power transfered to the road !

Still, the third of January is an important day for Kia. It’s the day when Mohave debuts at Korean market! I hope to get some good shots and informations to post them here. We’ll see!

Tomorrow is the big Detriot Auto Show!! I can’t wait. Hopefully KIA will come well prepaired with more than just the Borrego. And most petrol engines have an Rev line between 5500-6500. It depends what the engine is designed to do, tow, haul or recreation.

You’re comparing apples to oranges here, Greg! There is no comparisson between carlike vehicle and a towing truck…Those engines are specialy developed to provide a lot of torque at lowest RPM possible!

The interior does look nice for a truck!

Maximum RPM has nothing to do with the size of the vehicle! Mohave on pictures has a diesel engine and every diesel engine has a maximum RPM at about 4500. So it’s because of the diesel engine. I’m sure V8 powered will have much higher maximum RPM…

It’s max RPM is 4000.. thats awsome for something this size. Well, I guess the engine is also to blame for that. I still want to see how capable it is off-road in africa and Europe. Australia is also a good place for off-roading. not sure about america.

Those back two seats look pretty comfortable don’t they?
I wish Kia would finally offer all of the equipment avaliable in Korea including the rear view camera and navigation! I’m not sure if any Kia vehicle in US can be found with built in navigation right now!

there we go himi- that looks to be a nice sized third row seat. plus I like that interior combo. I would be suprised to see a backup camera or Nav for the US Market. The push button would be nice though. It wouldn’t suprise me if Kia did decide to go all out on this SUV for the US market since it is where they plan to sell the most of them.

Now that is a nice SUV! Its got all the new bells and whistles which KIA is lacking in its current models. Today the customer WANTS the new technology like GPS, rear view camera, push button starting, hill descent control etc. I just hope it doesn’t hit the North American market scaled down. Our dealership is located in a High End SUV market and I am sure this vehicle will have alot of people visiting their local KIA dealer!

I think it’s not Hyundai that doesn’t let Kia use navi or rear camera. The same happens also when Hyundai brings the same car to US. It always has equipment than the one sold in Korea. The main reason must be the cost factor. The price would be pushed too high for a Hyundai or Kia vehicle…

Nice! You guys think the rear camera is coming to the states or is Hyundai not going to let Kia get that since the Veracruz doesn’t have it. I been paying a attention to how Hyundai doesn’t want Kia to be a step ahead of itself. I bet it gets the Navi though.
