its too good. I dunno what to say. but i still want to see the seven seats. looks very expensive. I like the black finishing that are in certain places like near the gear lever. it could be for the models with black interior. the beige interior might get wood finish in its place.
November 27th, 2007 at 1:44 pm
I like the exterior design, but not the interior. Looks very old design, especially the steering wheel, which reminds me on that from 3years old Spectra5.
November 27th, 2007 at 4:22 pm
Himi come on. look at the steering wheel buttons. you can connect your phone to the Mohave and answer it by pressing the buttons on the steering wheel.
November 27th, 2007 at 4:50 pm
O………MY………GOODNESS. It has adjustable suspension? It can Adjust its ground clearance?
this could make a good off roader. I just cant believe this. pls tell me is that button (in the first pic of the 6th column) for adjusting its height?
November 27th, 2007 at 4:52 pm
this is the first Kia to have adjustable suspension. isnt it?
November 27th, 2007 at 5:43 pm
That is AWESOME It has got to be EXPENSIVE! The Phone up and down buttons scroll throught the phonebook. The interior is better than I expected! I WANT TO DRIVE IT!
November 27th, 2007 at 6:49 pm
BUt the most exciting thing for me is the adjustable suspension.
November 27th, 2007 at 6:55 pm
these 6-spoke alloys look much better than the 5-spoke ones. I think its gonna have good sales here. SUVs, mostly the big ones make very good sales. By the way I’ve noticed lots more arabs driving Kias meaning they are starting to notice it. I see most of the Arabs buying Sorento and Opirus / Amanti.
November 27th, 2007 at 7:33 pm
This MOHAVE, even though expensive for a Kia lover, will have to be priced well below competitors like the BMW, Merc-benz or Audi for sure. Think every one will agree with me on that. Now then, when are the shots of the third row seating coming?
November 27th, 2007 at 7:42 pm
wooooooooooooo!!!! yes…the steering wheel it’s like the cerato’s steering wheel, the logo it’s the same that the Opirus, the color it’s great!!! i just saw the same color in a SUV, in the nissan murano and looks great. the rest it’s amazing and i don’t have words to describe it xD!
November 27th, 2007 at 10:19 pm
I absolutely love the Mohave! I can’t even believe it’s a Kia!
November 27th, 2007 at 10:22 pm
Get used to it! The Mohave is only the begining. I think is the most technicaly advanced Kia up to date…
November 27th, 2007 at 10:25 pm
That’s for sure. We just got a mailer from the dealership saying that they have Kia authorized bluetooth calling systems that can be installed on our car for $500.
November 27th, 2007 at 10:27 pm
Black pillars are V8. These are color. The antenna is there too. The antenna on the V8 will look more like the one on the 2008 Optima.
November 27th, 2007 at 10:55 pm
The interior is exciting. I like it. The whole car remind me on Toyota landcuiser but this is nothing bad. The new landcruiser is ugly.
November 28th, 2007 at 4:15 am
I think it will have the intelligent key. the one in which the door locks open as soon as u r close to the car and dont have to press the unlock button.
November 28th, 2007 at 6:28 pm
Hi I work for Auto Express car magazine in London. Are these pictures official? If not do you know who took them? Could they contact me as soon as possible at news@autoexpress.co.uk with their telephone number including country code and their email. Thanks
November 28th, 2007 at 7:11 pm
It doesnt look official. You’ll get some photos on the link below:
http://mohave.kia.co.kr/main.html
its a korean site of Mohave. At first a white rectangle appears. Click on it and the site comes on screen. on the right of the page a black arrow will be pointing right. click on it and then a box with some info on mohave appears and below that clcik on Mohave photo.
November 28th, 2007 at 7:22 pm
Hey, Mohove has AUX connection, right? and i can see a house hold type power outlet behind the gear lever.
November 28th, 2007 at 10:22 pm
Yes, It has bluetooth plugin, and as shown in this picture http://www.kia-world.net/wp-content/uploads/2007/07/national1185522444.jpg has an aux. jack an phone jack along with seat warmers and the woodgrain will be with the beige interior. The interior in that picture is beige. It should be the same.
November 28th, 2007 at 10:27 pm
As far as I noticed, only rear suspension has air springs. In front is ordinary coil over shock system.
November 28th, 2007 at 11:03 pm
Pffft….Looks like the lovechild of a Nissan Pathfinder and Xterra
November 29th, 2007 at 2:23 am
Up yours! It is a very distinct design…*****
November 29th, 2007 at 3:51 am
that a stupid thing to say coz Its obvious that the front will have air suspension. How can you off-road with your rear suspension up and front sus down.
November 29th, 2007 at 9:58 am

Its amazing! I am very sure once this car launch in the market it will hit the mark on sales. I am from Philippines and a car lover. Could anyone here can tell me when will be the Kia Mohave will be going to launch here in the Philippines? Or any updates about specs of the car. Please send it to my email add edmar.pastor@yahoo.com
Truly i’ve been searching websites regarding Kia’s SUV. Kia is well equiped with the latest safety and technology. Although they are new player in the market (compared to BMW, Mercedes, Ford, etc) I think this car can compete in the those car manuafacturer. I hope Kia will have a diesel engine with a manual transmission. In our country will diesel is much cheaper than petrol, car buyer here prefer diesel with a manual transmissio. To summarize the features that car buyer here is looking when buying a car I will list it as follows:
*Diesel engine with at least 180bhp of engine with 390nm of torque
*Fuel efficient ranging from 11 km/liter on highway driving
*Equipped with safety features such as airbag, etc
*Equipped with bluetooth tech, tv monitors, subwoofer sound
*Must be a 7 setter and must be easy to enter in the 3rd row set
———–
I hope Kia will equipped this SUV with the mentioned features above and I am very sure this car will hit Philippine Car Sales and will win over Toyota, Ford, BMW, Chrysler, Etc.
Thanks…

Yeah, thats it !! Wanna have it ! Is this the long-waited-for V6 Diesel engine? I think it would be a “Hammer” on the German market, when the pricing is placed remarkable below the established BMW`s and Mercedes. The adjustable air suspension looks great, should provide more comfortable ride than in the Sorento.
Hey you guys @ KIA, I am ready for a test drive in Germany, just drop me a mail and I`ll be there !

I acctually had the opportunity to drive one of these today. They are really nice the V8 is very powerful and the V6 is the same out of the Sorento. I didnt notice the adjustable suspension. or the intelligent key, but everything else as far as interior goes it exactly like these pics. Very nice car. I wanted to take some pics but they said no pics since these were test vehicles for the US. They are supposed to be availble late June to ealry July. Really excited about it
March 3rd, 2008 at 3:17 pm
Are you a dealer?
July 28th, 2008 at 11:22 pm

danny
August 17th, 2008 at 2:03 pm

August 17th, 2008 at 11:09 pm
In the USA it starts at $27,000.

Hi, I drive a Sportage right now and is impressed with it. But the moment I saw Mohave, my heart is pumping hard to own one. It is obvious that the car falls in the niche market seeing the features and specifications of the car. She is simply awesome and is a head turner. She is going to catch places if the KIA maintains their old good pricing strategy which has proved them theri sucess for two decades. If they want price it just few thousand of bugs below the super luxury SUVs , then they defenitely go places.
In short, who told KIA is not a brand. It is indeed a brand. What I feel if a brand is delivering what it promises, then any object in this world is a brand, be it a car or a pen.
Wish you all sucess KIA MOHAVE.
September 5th, 2008 at 10:35 pm
It starts at US $27,000 and a Limited model costs US $42,000. Where do you live??
November 14th, 2008 at 10:38 am
i’ve bought seronto car , i like to drive it all the time , i feel beter when i drive it, but when i saw mohave on tv i was surprised because its design is nice and i feel that i should drive it instead of my sorento, so what can i do? i note that i can’t found mohave in algeria.
November 15th, 2008 at 5:09 am
Well, because you just bought a Sorento, if you traded it in now, you will have negative equity. That means that the dealership will buy your Sorento from you for a price that is about $2,000 less than an average used Sorento costs in your country. If you owe more than they are willing to give you for it, that amount will be added onto the price of the Mohave.
December 6th, 2008 at 9:52 pm
I just saw the Mohave Full Options. It is amaing and the interior is too good – with high quality plastics unlike some of the Toyota models. Also, immediately after seeing this piece, I went and saw Nissan XTerra. It simly pales in comparison to KIA.
Everything about this vehicle is superb – GPS, voice navigation, blue tooth and all the other conveniences inside.
December 7th, 2008 at 9:09 am
The Mohave is for sure a high quality Kia! Are you looking to buy one??
December 25th, 2008 at 6:35 pm
Awesome car. My dad bough a Sorento in 2006 and we are going to trade in the sorento for the Mohave in September next year. My dad said its not good time to buy the Mohave now. He wants prices to go down a bit. I am soo excited. I just want to blast this Infinity 750 watt sound system to the max. We turned into KIA lovers. My dad loves the sorento. Really nice car. We have the 3.5 V6 one. And the engine sounds sweet.
December 25th, 2008 at 7:26 pm
where are you from Dimiter. I think somewhere in the middle east cuz you say Mohave instead of Borrego. And obviously not from Korea if you’re looking for the infinity sound system. In Korea its JBL. So you’re probably from middle east. I’m in UAE. My mom’s gott a sportage.
April 11th, 2009 at 7:13 pm
Well i am from Bulgaria but i live in Kuwait from 2.5 years. we bought our Sorento in 2006 the Base model and soon my dad understood he made a mistake.. So he said in September he’ll buy the Top of the Line Mohave… greetings

April 16th, 2010 at 5:51 pm
How many people where in the Mohave? Did anyone bleed? Did anyone have any broken bones? Did anyone go to the hospital? Where was it hit? How fast were you going? Was it daytime or night? Was it raining? Did another car run into you? Did you run into a building or pole? Is this a V6 or V8? When you say totally wrecked what exactly is that supposed to mean? Did you fall from a cliff? Did four cars hit you north eas south west at the same time? What was the cause of the accident? Was anyone drinking and driving? Did you run a red light? Did a big 18 wheeeler run into you. Did you wear your seat belts? If you wore your seat belts, did the 3 point belt work? Did the broken glass cause serious injuries? The the SUV tip over? Was the air bag light on or off before you left? Did you read your owner’s manual after you purchased the car? How long did you have it? Before we explain, you need a LOT of explaining to do.
April 16th, 2010 at 5:54 pm
Was the music loud? Were you texting while driving? Do you take it to the shop every 3 or 6 months? If you did, didn’t the autoshop place it on a dianotistic’s test to check the status of the vehicle? Do you get oil changes on the regular? Do you get your tires rotated on the regular? How offten do you check the condition of your vehicle when drivig?
April 16th, 2010 at 5:56 pm
If you ran into another car are the other people ok? Was the other vehicle that hit you or you hit was it a car, cuv, pickup truck?
April 16th, 2010 at 5:57 pm
Emily Reyes Hello?
April 16th, 2010 at 5:59 pm
You say you don’t know where the air bag sensors are located? Did you glance at the owner’s manual? Is the manual in a language you understand?
April 16th, 2010 at 6:00 pm
Did you take your complaint to the dealership where you got it from? If so what did they do?
April 16th, 2010 at 6:00 pm
I can go on and on? I can answer quesitons about the accident from A to Z.
April 16th, 2010 at 8:20 pm
Emily Reyes, aren’t you at least releived no one got killed? I find it sort of weried you don’t seem to be glad no one got killed but here you are going to a Kia blog talking about where are the air bag sensors? Obviously you walked away from the accident with or without the airbags. If not, how are you able to go home and go on the internet to talk about your situation? When did this happen? Do you have back flashes from the accident? What are you going to do now? How old are you? Did you take any medications before operating this vehicle? Are you even on any types of medications? Some of them tell you not operate machanary when driving? Did you read that on the label from the medicine? Were you high? How many miles did the Mohave have on it? Did you call the cops so they could take down your information? Were you in a hurry to go to work (school)? You say you are form the PHILIPPINES? Did you get an after affect from that earthquack in China? If so, do you think maybe it caused a mulfuction in the sensors that operate the Mohave’s air bags?
April 17th, 2010 at 4:07 am
If the car was hit in an instance where the deceleration forces were lower than specification, the airbags will not deploy. If you are hit from the rear the airbags will not deploy.

Hi everyone.
I’ve purchased a Mohave V6 DLX (Special kit for Middle East) and I’m really happy about it. Just to tell, this car is amazing. I live in Dubai and I’ve even went offroad riding the sand dunes with the original road tires and did not get stuck even where a great Nissan Patrol got stuck (even loaded with wife, kids and picnic stuff).
I’ve purchased it in Dec 2008 and already ride it 52,000km – not a single problem. 1 accident with a Honda Accord (totally my fault.. or not since I stop at a T intersection looking left to enter the intersection but when I started this honda was stopped in the middle of the road) – anyway I just hit the car quite strongly since I was accelerating and did not even have time to brake – the honda jumped 5 meters ahead with back bumper totally destroyed. When I checked my front bumper – not even a single scratch – shining as new.. AMAZING.
Going for maintenance every 5,000km or so and the car is running so smoothly and quietly it’s 100% pleasure. Even the Dubai police purchased 50 Mohave – I guess it means something…
But I have to admit that this car does nto attract as many customers as it would if the front badge was Toyota or Nissan – that’s sad cause this car is great…
Cheers
