Car manufacturer Kia Motors is launching a brand awareness on Microsoft’s automotive portal MSN Car Channel.

The pan-European digital campaign launches on Thursday to promote Kia as the exclusive online sponsor for the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show.

The one month campaign will appear on MSN’s Car Channel in the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.

The deal includes display ads sized 728×90 and 300×250 with an integrated sponsorship logo, as well as video and photo ads.

Kia has been working with Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions for the past eight months on strategic communications.

Kia Motors Europe general manager of marketing and PR Panu Vainamo said: “We have advertised across the MSN network since 2006 and with our online sponsorship of the Frankfurt Motor show being a key focus for our communications strategy this year, we chose to work with Microsoft’s multinational team to leverage this to ensure our online campaigns are truly integrated and, most importantly, meet the needs of a key, engaged online audience in Europe.”

Kia also became the official partner of the FIFA Women’s World Cup China 2007 last week following on from its title as FIFA’s official automobile sponsor.
