Hi micro99! I was found the crash test on the EURONCAP website. The Magentis received 4 stars on the test which is not bad, but also not the best. But it did score more points for side crash test compared to front crash. It got 10 points for front and 14 points for side crash test.

Hi himi,

This is not directly related, but would you happen to have any info on how the 2006.5 or 2007 Magentis/Optima?Lotze scored in the Euro Encap testing – particularly on side impact ? For some inexplicable reason the IIHS has not done the side impact test on this car even though it is in its second or third model year!! IF the car rates high on side impact ,it would be one of the very few mid-sizers to get top rating in al three tests (front, fear, side). KIA is missing out on a great marketing opportunity with this and should be pushing the IIHS to complete the side test !!
