The 2010 Kia cee’d finally shows its face.

Over the past few weeks, we have brought you a bunch of spy shots and plenty of information about the 2010 Kia cee’d, which is scheduled to make a premiere unveiling at the upcoming Frankfurt auto show in September.

In the latest report published yesterday, you could have seen a few interior images of the forthcoming cee’d, while today, you have the opportunity to see the very first “live” shots of the updated Kia cee’d.

it is very, very nice indeed! I like it so much! Now I just expect KIA Motors to add new engin, somethink like 200+HP and it will be perfect!

  2. Paul says:

I don’t see a lot of persoanlity. It’s random, at best.

  3. Mar says:

I like the old model more than this.
The nose is a korean style car.
The back of the is ok

  4. GiannisB says:

I don’t think the interior has changed at all. I like the new headlights though. The back seems the same to me.

  5. Brian says:

So, is this essentially the Forte hatchback coming out next year?

  6. Kid Icarus says:

No Brian….at this point there are no plans to bring the Ceed to the US which is too bad because it’s damn sexy and I would love to see it!

  7. Gregory Schreyer says:

The front end of the car has a lower spoiler that is not part of the production car – looks like a Mobis part or a bodykit. The black gloss grille around the lower ‘open mouth’ is an option in some markets, I believe.

If the officially unveiling isn’t until Frankfurt in September, why are people from the factory driving an undisguised car around Slovakia? It’s obviously a factory car with the red ‘SK’ license plate.

I think there will be some angry managers at the factory and within Kia Motors European HQ that will be a little displeased with this!!!!!!

  8. I’m still not completely sure about the front – still looks unbalanced, however it does look sharper front and rear =)

  9. Patrick says:

Looks like some sports model or something. The grille from the leaked image was finished in chrome whereas this one has gloss black with chrome highlights. The front lip kit also looks like it belongs to this package. Overall, the lip kit makes it unnecessarily busy up front but otherwise it is a great refresh and delivers a much more modern look both inside and out!
    .
BTW himi did you get the mail I sent you of the racing Forte Koup?

  10. Greg says:

At first glance, the steering wheel looked like that of a watered down Fit. The fit has the world’s worst steering wheel!

  11. Martin1491 says:

The front doesn’t look very… European. There seems to be a little too much going on, should have sharper lines and be simpler. The back is nice though, that appears to have the simple European-ness about it. To me anyway.

  12. HyundaiSmoke says:

Guys, They can Also easily make this into a Forte 5 door as well. We in the States are getting a Forte 5 door. Just look at it, this can be a Fotre Variant Easily, but thats what happens when you build cars on the same platform.

Martin, maybe they will restyle the rear end more for US consumption. I can imagine our Auto Jouralists now. “KIA make a winner with this Forte’ 5, and then I go and look at the back I yawn.” The rear end on this would be more suitable for the Hyundai “Elegant” look they are going for in the US.

  13. HyundaiSmoke says:

By the way, I talked with Colin from KIA about seeing if they can put C’eed projectors on Fortes.

  14. HyundaiSmoke says:

I also talked to him about having a low cost easy to adapt projector Small Car Projector Lamp System Hyundai/KIA can use Globally on all of their Small car product lines. That would also keep costs down as well.

  15. Tak says:

I’m subscriving this site. I’m korean.

    Can i get that pics?

  16. Bornloser says:

To be honest… it looks cheap, VERY cheap! Looks like a current cee’d tuned by some Johny Maccaroni

  17. Gregory Schreyer says:

Projector headlamp will be on the new cee’d. The steering wheel will be the first time it is used, but will spread to more cars – it has thumbs resting place and is thicker than current Kia wheel.

  18. HyundaiSmoke says:

Thanks Gregory. You have any idea if the No.3 MPV will come to the US as a Rio. I think it should, and it would save on costs. Then again the US Rio Sedan is more popular than the Hatch, and the Hatches on the Accents are more popular than the Sedan. As a US driver I see this everyday. Your sedans are drivien by old people and they are used for rental cars.

  19. Gregory Ahn says:

I like the Cee’d with the Diesel its quick.

  20. sammo says:

it looks fantastic, i reckon the interior looks Audi-like in quality! pity it won’t be coming to Australia though cause kia could really use this car to give their Aussie sales a much needed boost.

  21. smudge says:

Kia would have their money spent more wisely if they had left the interior alone and pushed their UK cee`d market as Hyundai have done with their i30. Having said that it`s a great car with build quality equalling or better than most rivals, 113bhp diesel is a gem!

  22. Kia car salesman UK says:

Personally I think that this new look is much needed. The current cee’d is starting to look a little bit old-fashioned now – especially when you compare it to the styling of the new Renault Megane, Honda Civic and even the forth-coming Vauxhall/Opel Astra. We expecting it to be a very good seller once again. And the ISG engine will improve sales even more – think that the pro_cee’d does need some sort of Turbo-petrol model though?!

  23. Gregory Schreyer says:

HS – no, No.3 will not be on sales for in the US. It is a Europe only car – designed and built in Europe for European peoples.

I heard that cee’d was going to for sales in Australia now that it is also selling in South Africa. Anyone know?

Hey there UK man – It would be good to have a fastest cee’d family, but maybe for the next generation? the face lifted cee’d has new suspension which will be better for Europe and not so harder as before.

  24. Tony says:

it won’t be for sale in Australia as long as it’s made in Europe due to the horrible dollar to Euro conversion.

And besides, Australia is a Forte country like the US.

I like the new interior. I’d go as far as to say Kia is doing better at interior design that Hyundai. It is almost Audi-looking.

The exterior though… they messed with everything that was good about the original.

  25. Jos says:

Who has a picture from the backside of the kia proceed (model 2010)

    Greetings Jos
    from the Netherlands

  26. kriss says:

    jes ow kors

  27. HyundaiSmoke says:

The Hyundai i20 is too small (Its 3 inches shorter than the Accent Hatchback) for the US Market, so Rios and Accents that size will be a big mistake for the Company. They have to make No.3 Sized smal cars here.

  28. mueludo says:

Looks strikingly like a Nissan Versa on the outside. I hope the interior is as roomy and comfortable.

  29. patrik says:

Grretings, himi + you guys! You may interested to have a look at this link http://news.auto.cz/spy/kia-ceed-facelift-kombi-sw.html. The Czech motozine has brought wonderful pictures of FL cee’d production cars, taken by its reader somewhere in the Czech Republic during unloading, Enjoy!

Так мило, но так банально… 🙂
