On the exterior, I washed, waxed, buffed, polished chrome, cleaned windows and mirrors, polished wheels, and degreased the engine. On the inside I organized interior compartments, discarded misc junk, vacuumed, steam cleaned carpeting and floormats, cleaned windows and mirrors, conditioned leather surfaces, washed all other surfaces with a Murphy's Oil Soap and water mixture, and washed the trunk and spare tire well. I took a bunch of photos to share with you.

All,

I got my 2011 Kia Sorento AWD EX-I4 5-seater on Jan 19th and though I like the vehicle I’m disappointed as the ride is not smooth for the following three reasons:

[1] It gives out intermittent rattling noise from the right rear-end corner.
[2] It gives out intermittent squeaking noise from the rear-end – this sounds more like the noise that one hears when two new leather layers are rubbed against each other.
[3] It gives out intermittent squeaking noise from the front near the gear-lever – this sounds more like the squeaking noise when two plastic pieces are rubbed against each other.

The 1st noise sounds more like two metals banging on one another and it is random which makes it difficult to isolate and identify. I initially thought the sound is coming from my Son’s Car Seat (Child Seat) as I suspected that the sound could be from the iron-end of the cable (Hook) hitting the latch on rough roads. Though removing the child-seat did address the known noise problem it did not address the rest of the noises (all 3 of the above) and it became pretty clear to me that it is indeed a rattling noise from the vehicle itself.

I drove with a friend of mine - who bought a Toyota Venza recently – to the dealer to purchase the Cargo Mat and even he confirmed that is indeed a rattling noise from the rear-end (and I have not yet put back my son’s child seat).

I told the dealer about this. Since it was too late for the day (Saturday) he told me he will take a look at it during my 3000 miles service which is due in the next few days. I also got a letter from Kia Motors requesting me to have the EMS connector reexamined by the dealer as this would potentially pose a problem.

Does anyone have this experience? I’m referring to the noises that should not be present.
