2015 Optima Gains Sparkling Silver, Platinum Graphite And Smokey Blue Colors
The 2015 Kia Optima color palette gains new exterior paint shades, including Smokey Blue, Sparkling Silver, Platinum Graphite!
There are all kinds of different ways to show off your specific sense of style in your Kia car, but it really does all begin with the color of vehicle that you choose.
While some folks will choose a color that is easy to clean and maintain, others will look for something that is truly bright and bold.
When you think of the appeal of the Kia Soul, for example, you can see how much of the success that it has seen has been to do with the bold, funky colors that it is available in.
The new 2015 Kia Optima may be a little more subdued than his boxy brother, but that doesn’t mean that Kia have not taken color into account with the upgraded version of the popular mid-size sedan.
OUT: Bright Silver and Metal Bronze Paint Covers
There are sure to be some that will be sad to hear that the Bright Silver and Metal Bronze exterior colors that appeared on the previous version of the Optima are now gone, but on the bright side, and we do mean bright, there are a couple of great replacements to get excited about.
IN: Blue, Graphite And Sparkling Silver Exterior Colors
The two exterior colors that have been brought in to replace the outgoing hues are Sparkling Silver and Platinum Graphite.
Both options are absolutely stunning, but they still may be a little too reserved for those looking to make a bold color statement out on the road, If you fall into that category, then you need to take a look at the new Smokey Blue option that comes with a metallic finish that is sure to stand out.
Park it beside your Solar Yellow Kia Soul in the driveway and you will have the beginning of a beautiful rainbow.
Of course the refresh undergone by the 2015 Optima is more than just about color.
Other Changes & Improvements
Technology has very much been given an upgrade, too, specifically in the second-generation UVO eServices system.
The brilliant telematics and infotainment system now comes with 4 new services that make it even better than ever before.
It is available on all models except the base LX trim, but you can still get the first-generation version of the system installed in that model if you simply can’t live without it.
There are also some very nice upgrades to the interior of the 2015 Kia Optima, with many of the changes giving the car a real premium look and feel.
The higher-end trim levels even feature a sporty D-shaped steering wheel that is sure to be a big hit with many consumers.
The steering wheel mounted cruise control buttons have been switched to the right hand side of the wheel to make them that much easier to reach.
Perhaps the best part of all of these 2015 model year changes is that they do not come at a huge cost, with the average price increase across the line coming in at around $150 to $200 more than the outgoing Optima 4-door sedan.
