Spy Shots: 2014 Kia Forte 5-Door Hatchback Spotted Testing

The all-new “Forte 5” has been spied testing in South Korea this week, offering a first look at Kia’s next-generation 5-door hatchback.

UPDATE: All new Kia Forte 5-door unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show!!! Find the Forte 5 specs and photos here!

With the all-new Forte 4-door sedan just around the corner, the development on the other two models, the two-door Forte Koup and Forte 5-door hatch, is also nearing completion.

It is clear from these first spy shots that the South Korean carmaker will stick with the successful look of the new Forte sedan.

The new Kia Forte5 will feature the same wide signature grille as Kia’s other newest models (2014 Forte, cee’d hatchback, Sorento crossover and Carens MPV), along with long headlights and LED daytime running lights.

Forte5’s technical specifications and model line-up details have not been revealed yet, though it is very likely these will remain the same as with the 2014 Kia Forte sedan.

Set to compete head-to-head with the likes of new Hyundai Elantra GT and Mazda 3 hatchback, the new Forte 5-door will make its official U.S. debut during the second half of 2013.

  1. What do you guys think about the upcoming Forte 5-door? I really like the side profile design which reminds me of new cee’d hatchback and Sportage CUV…
