2014 Cadenza Release Date Announced

Kia Motors America unveiled a brand-new 2014 Cadenza premium sedan at the 2013 North American Auto Show in Detroit!

Set to go on sale during the the second quarter of 2013, the all-new Cadenza near-luxury sedan replaces the 2013 Optima SXL as the range-topping model for the Kia brand in the USA.

The new Cadenza slots in betwwen the Optima mid-size sedan ( Kia’s top-selling models in the States) and the Quoris rear-wheel-drive flagship sedan (not available in the States at this point).

The new flagship model for the Kia Motors America hosts a plethora of highly advanced driving and safety systems that promise to set new standards among the vehicles in the near-luxury vehicle segment.

Those include advanced smart cruise control -ASCC, which maintains a set distance to the vehicle ahead and can bring the car to a full stop if necessary, radar-based blind spot detection and lane departure warning systems, HID headlamps with adaptive front lighting system, UVO infotainment system, smart key keyless entry with push-button start and many many more.

Under the hood, the 2014 Kia Cadenza packs a 3,3L V6 engine with gasoline direct injection technology. The highly-advanced V6 unit generates 293 horsepower and 255lb.-ft. of maximum torque.

The front-wheel-drive sedan features independent suspension with a McPherson strut setup in front and a multilink rear design.

The base model of the new Kia Cadenza sedan rides on 245/45R-18 tires, while the range-topping Technology Package features 245/40R-19 tires.

The all-new Kia Cadenza will hit the U.S. showroom floor in the second quarter of 2013.
