This is the first official image of the next-generation 2013 Kia Pro_cee’d!
Rumored to make its official premiere at the 2012 Paris Auto Show, the all-new 2013 Kia pro_cee’d will complete the cee’d line-up when it hits the European market late this year.
The second-generation Kia pro_cee’d will adopt many of the styling cues from its 5-door sibling model, which has recently been unveiled at the Geneva Auto Show, and has received rave reviews from public and automotive media. However, the 3-door model will feature a more aggressive overall shape with sportier side profile and lower roofline.
The stylish three-door pro_cee’d will be built on the same platform as the 5-door Kia cee’d, but its suspenssion will be set up differently, alowing drivers to enjoy the performance side of the car. The all-new pro_cee’d will also get a Flex Steer system which will provide three operating modes (comfort, normal and sport) to help fine-tune the driver’s driving experience.
The engine line-up for the 2013 Kia Pro_cee’d will be carried over from the cee’d Sporty Wagon, which means there’ll be a choice of four different four-cylinder engines mated to either a six-speed dualt clutch automatic gearbox or 6-speed manual transmission.
With the release of a brand-new pro_cee’d, Kia will also introduce a pair of turbocharged gasoline engines. The “base” 1,2L T-GDI is expected to produce between 120 and 130 horsepower, while the more potent 1,6L T-GDI unit will pack 183 horsepower.
